Today was a nice, sunny day outside with some snow on the ground, so I went out with a couple of my friends and did some snowshoeing. This was only the second time I have been snowshoeing but I was able to get the hang of it in no time. I can already see some progress with my exercising! Day 5
Today I am dedicating the day to drinking 8 cups of water. I was feeling dehydrated the last few days and I noticed that I have been drinking other liquids such as juice and pop instead of water.
Did you know??

This is something to think about the next time you reach for a can of pop instead of drinking a glass of water which has 0 Grams of sugar!
Day 4
Today I took part in a volleyball game.
I was hesitant at first since I have not
played in a long time, but I chose to go
since I committed to this journey. I am
glad that I did because it was a lot of fun and a great workout! My teammates and I decided to make this a regular event, so we will be meeting up once a week for practice and a game.
In my practice and during the game, I used my arm, abdominal, and especially leg muscles.
What other sports can you think of that incorporates multiple areas of your body?

Day 3
Today was a stormy day outside so I decided to not let that stop me and I did my workout inside!
I was feeling sore this morning from yesterday's workout so I was looking for some ways to stretch out my muscles.
I found a great Youtube video for beginner yoga that I will share with all of you! Yoga is a great way to relax and to stretch out your muscles. It helps with flexibility and also increases your energy!

Day 2
Welcome to Day 2 of my blog!
Today I tried to incorporate cardio into my daily routine.Since it was a nice day today, I went outside and went along one of the bike trails!
It was challenging at first but I felt accomplished at the end of it!
In this work out, I used my leg muscles to push the pedals. Cardio is important because it improves heart health.

First Day
Today is my first day to log my exercise!
I started the day off today with 10 push-ups and 10 sit-ups. I then went for a 45 minute walk.
I wanted a general all-around work out today and tomorrow I'm planning to work on more cardio. What is your favourite cardio workout? Let me know in the comments and I'll see if I can do it!

About Me
I am a Grade 6 teacher at Rev. J. H. Elementary School and am creating this blog for my class. This is for the students to come and look at so that they can log their own exercise.
Why I Started Tracking
I have decided to start tracking my exercise for a number of reasons:1. I find it motivating - If I know I have to write down what I do or do not do, it is one more reason to get up and do it
2. Tracking records - I can see how far I have come once I look back to the previous time and what I was able to do then
3. Make healthy choices - It is easier to see the choices I make and helps me to make better choices in the future
4. Goal setting - I can make a personal goal for myself and see if I can reach it
Introduction
Hello everyone! In order to keep track of my exercise, I am creating a blog to record what I do each day. This way, I can see if I am exercising enough and how I can improve! I will also be posting new exercises that I am trying, what works for me, and what I want to try next! Please comment your favourite exercises! I will try them out and let everyone know how it went!
